Another great feature Coassemble offers is the ability to add inline images almost anywhere. To do this, simply make your way to a text field, and select the Insert Image button as shown below.

After you've selected the Insert Image button, the modal below will pop up. From here, you have three ways to add an image: uploading a locally saved image, selecting an image from Unsplash, or choosing a GIF using GIPHY.

Method 1: Upload a locally saved image

This method allows you to upload a locally saved image as an 'Inline Image'. To upload an image, follow these steps:

Step 1: Drag and drop your image or select 'browse files' to locate the image.
Step 2: Navigate to the desired image locally stored on your computer and open it.
Step 3: Click Open. The image will then appear inline within your screen.

Step 4: You can then use the tools in the toolbar to adjust the layout of your image within the screen.

Method 2: Select your image from Unsplash

This method allows you to search for an image using Unsplash. You can watch this in action below.

Step 1: Type a description of the image you are searching for in the 'Search' text box.

Step 2: Scroll down to navigate to an image of your choosing.

Step 3: Click on the image once you have selected. It will appear inline on your screen.

Step 4: You can then use the tools in the toolbar to adjust the layout of your image within the screen.

Method 3: Select a GIF using GIPHY.

Step 1: Navigate to GIPHY and click on it to access the GIPHY search field.

Step 2: Type a description of the GIF you are searching for in the 'Search' text box.

Step 3: Scroll down to navigate to the GIF of your choosing.

Step 4: Click on the GIF once you have selected. It will appear inline on your screen.

Step 5: You can then use the tools in the toolbar to adjust the layout of your image within the screen.

How do I adjust the position of my image on the screen?

There are several options to edit the size and position of your image. If you click on your image once it has appeared inline, you will be able to view all these options in the toolbar.

Alignment

Once an image has been added, you can adjust the alignment of the image to be left, middle or right aligned. You can see this in action below.

Wrap

You can choose to wrap the text around the image by selecting either of these toggles below.

Edit image

If you have an image that needs to be cropped or edited, don't fret! We have some editing tools available to you in app. To edit an image, click the image and select the 'Edit image' button. From here, you can access tools to crop, rotate and flip your image. See these in action below.

Caption

If you would like to add a caption to your image, select the image and then the 'Caption' button. You can then type your caption in the field below that says 'Add a caption to this image'.

Hyperlink

If you would like to make the image a hyperlink, select this icon.

You will then need to enter the URL as shown below:

Your learners will then be able to click the image to navigate to the associated URL.

Alt text
Alt text is vital for accessibility as it provides concise descriptions of images, aiding individuals with visual impairments who use screen readers. This practice promotes inclusivity, allowing everyone to access and understand the content you are presenting. If you would like to add Alt text to your image, select the image and click the Alt text button (shown below). Type a description of the image here.
