eCoach allows you to add your logo, custom fonts, and colour schemes across all parts of your Campus (including your login screen). Simply head over to the Customise Menu.

From here you can customise the following components of your eCoach Campus:

  • Hostname (URL you login at and send Participants to)
  • Logos and Header colours (including a custom logo for your login page)
  • Campus Colours (i.e. the Colour Scheme used for your portal)
  • eCoach Lesson Font Size
  • eCoach Lesson Template Colours (e.g. background colours for Lesson Templates)
  • Lesson Feedback Popups
  • Advanced CSS options

From the Customise Page, select the URL tab. From here you can change your:

  • Campus Name (used to display the name of your Organisation through the eCoach LMS)
  • Hostname (used to customise your portal’s unique web address)

We recommend that you don’t change your hostname as it will log out everyone currently using your Campus, including yourself. It’s also possible (but unlikely) that your Users will lose unsaved work – it’s a good idea to give your Users a heads up before making any changes to the hostname.

Both settings can be easily updated and any changes will be updated immediately.

From this page, you can change the header of your Campus, and the login page for you Campus.

Header (Logo & Colours)

To add a logo to the header, click the 'Add Image' button. This will allow you to add a smaller logo (40px high by 200px wide) that will appear on the header of your Campus.

Make sure you select a background colour that compliments your logo. To do this, change the 'Top Menu Colour' option by clicking into the colour fields and selecting a colour that suits.

You also have the option to change the background colour of the 'Ribbon Menu'. This is the menu that has the main navigation buttons on it. To do this, click into the colour field next to where it says 'Ribbon Menu Colour' and choose a colour that suits.

Once you're happy with your changes, click the 'Save' Button.

Login Page  (Logo & Colours)

To add a logo to the your Login Page, click the 'Add Image' button. This will allow you to add a larger logo (120px tall, max-width 360px) that will appear on the Login Screen.

To add a background colour that compliments your logo, click into the 'Background Colour' field and use the colour widget to select a colour.

Once you're happy with your changes, click the 'Save' Button.

Colour Scheme

Your exact colour scheme can be adjusted to match an existing style guide (or similar) using the colour pickers. Using the colour pickers is easy, simply click into the picker field and use the colour selector.

For more information on how changing each colour will effect your campus, click on the little question icons and it will bring up more information relating to that colour.

Click the 'Save' button to save your changes. Alternatively, if you don't like what you've done, you click the 'Restore Defaults' button.

Note: While this might seem pretty straightforward, it can end up a mess if you’re not working from a colour palette you’ve put some thought into. It’s also a good idea to check the contrast of any colours used. If you’re a paying eCoach customer, the team will happily help you out with creating a colour scheme (it’s something we undertake regularly as part of our eLearning Development Service).

Lesson Content Font Size

The default font size for Lessons can be adjusted on the Fonts Tab.

When you preview a lesson you'll notice their are two font size options. Changing the base font size to a larger number will make all lessons in your campus appear with bigger fonts. If you change the Bigger font size option, selecting the large A (in the image below) while in a Lesson, will reveal the effects of this change.

Lesson Colours

Each eCoach Lesson template is associated with a particular colour. The reason we've done this is to help form an association between a particular colour the type of media your Participants are consuming. For example, all Checkpoints are yellow, and all presentation templates are blue. You can change the colour of each Lesson Template by clicking into the colour picker field and adding the colour you want.

The 'Additional Colours' are used to complement the Lesson template colours. Combined, the additional colours and the Lesson Template colours form to create a colour wheel.

Once you're happy with your changes, click the 'Save' button to save your changes. Alternatively, if you don't like what you've done, you click the 'Restore Defaults' button.

Lesson Feedback Pop-ups

eCoach comes pre-loaded with a range of fun feedback pop-ups using our mascot, Kevin E. Coach.

We understand that Kevin isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, so we’ve designed the platform in a way that lets you create your own feedback notifications…

To edit or add new feedback pop-ups, go to the CUSTOMISE page and then click on the LESSON FEEDBACK tab.  From this screen it’s possible to add your own images, logos, slogans or animated GIFS.

You can also customise the feedback messages included with each feedback pop-pop:

Advanced/Custom CSS

Custom CSS/Less can also be applied – this can be a tad tricky, so if you need a hand updating your schemes (or fonts), please contact – our designers can help create a palette that compliments your organisational branding and colours.

If you’d like to give it a go yourself, here’s an example using Google Fonts that you can follow:

@import ‘’;
body, h1, h2, h3,h4, p, line-header-title, tile-title, h2.topic-text, ng-scope
{ font-family: ‘Roboto’, sans-serif; }
.slide.container #tile-title, .slide.container .alertDescription, .slide.container .alertTitle
{ font-family: ‘Roboto’, sans-serif !important; }
